Sietsche will lead the construction work for the PALLAS-reactor on the Energy and Health Campus in Petten. Bertholt Leeftink, CEO NRG|PALLAS: “Now that we are preparing for the actual start of construction of the PALLAS-reactor, I am very pleased with the arrival of Sietsche. Sietsche has a lot of experience with the challenges of contractors of large civil projects in the Netherlands and is therefore a welcome reinforcement of our team.” Sietsche Eppinga: “Safely building complex civil projects with a technically feasible design has always been my focus. The fact that I can now use that experience for the realization of a new reactor that is vital for 30,000 patients a day is a great challenge. I am very much looking forward to taking the next steps with the NRG|PALLAS team to make this possible.”
Sietsche currently works as Manager TenderDesk at BAM. From 2017 to 2021 she was responsible for BAM Infra Funderingstechnieken. Before that, she held various positions in both design and implementation on projects within BAM and Strukton. Sietsche: “With a complex construction project such as the PALLAS-reactor, I am looking forward to attracting the right parties to safely realize the construction project together. With the right knowledge, expertise and open collaboration with parties, I have every confidence in writing history with this unique construction project.”
Every day 30,000 patients depend on medical isotopes from the Netherlands. In order to guarantee security of supply in the future, preparations for the construction of the PALLAS reactor are now underway. The new Cabinet is expected to make a decision on the financing of the new reactor in the first quarter of 2022.
